Gideon's room

Here's Gideon's room! I wanted a departure from a standard boy's blue and any kind of theme, so I filled it with things that are truly him with touches of meaning.

I cut up my Dad's old boating maps for art and pulled the color scheme from them.

The swing chair is from Ikea and I just love it, I tried to wedge it in the corner to limit the amount of damage he can do!!

Made these roman "shades" from jenny's tutorial, great diy.

Meet "Taco" Gideon actually named him and somehow it fits.

The bull horns are from the antique store down the street, love them and so apopros for my rambunctious boy.

This is "Mr. Tuckies" also named by G.

Ride Giddy ride!

Maria, I love your room and your blog! Would you mind telling me the brand of bunkbed, if you know? I know you said it was a hand me down, but I am wondering whether I can still locate it. It has modern lines and I can't seem to find a bunkbed I like as much as yours! Thanks so much, Susan in Alexandria!
