Crazy title, huh? It pretty much summarizes what's been going around at my house! The boys and I had a great Memorial Day weekend despite venturing it sans Daddy and Auntie! The pool provided hours of fun and release for the kiddos and to my surprise wasn't too crowded. In the midst of that fun I escaped for a Senior session, (see pic!) love how she incorporated her flute! Then the weekend took a slight turn with my poor baby's staph infection. Well, not a full blown infection, but a staph spot on his forehead and if you can believe it, his third bout with this treacherous bug. I used to see this in the hospital all the time, but now I'm told by the pediatrician these bugs are on the rise. Anyone have any luck treating this without antibiotics? About to do a trial run with antibacterial baths and applying bactroban to his nostrils for 5 days, just wondering if anyone else has struggled with these in their babes? So odd and awful.
No. Never had this condition before. But thanks for letting us know. We've a little one too, and need to become fully aware of all the diseases out there.

I'd try probiotic supplements, plain yogurt, and then the cure-all - raw apple cider vinegar. It is a panacea! Gets rid of internal viruses by adjust pH balance toward alkaline, kills bacteria naturally. Nature's antiseptic! I just killed a wart with it a few weeks ago, and I drink it regularly (with honey or agave and water - it is nasty by itself!). I swear by RACV. Just google "apple cider vinegar" and "staph" together. Make sure it is RAW ACV, not distilled. The raw enzymes are what pack the benefits, they are filtered out in the distillation process.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Everyone doing okay now? Sometimes I wish I had a nursing background like you so I could stay cool under pressure and know when to freak out and when to not sweat it. Sounds like you are handling things perfectly!
