I recommend at least an overnight stay and treating yourself to a getaway at The Vintage Round Top. Hitting up all the antique shops, boutiques, and Henkel square market! Round Top is a must stop on your way to Waco with your girl gang and here's a couple more compelling reasons why:
Charm factor off the charts.
Every single house looked like this there, charm is a requirement in this town.Foodie Heaven.
The Garden CO is a must stop. Peruse their shop and grab lunch at their restaurant, their decor is insta-worthy. Don't skip a trip to the very pretty bathroom, no stone left unturned in this decorative eatery. Also highly recommend their salad with candied pecans and portobello goat cheese mushrooms. My Mom and I savored every last bite.
Junk Gypsy
A must stop in Round Top for every girl's weekend. Set aside a good 45 minutes to cover every inch of this gem. Their light fixtures had me drooling, grab some great super soft Texas tees and take in very corner of antique girly goodness, including the pretty grounds.
Royers Pie Haven
It was indeed a pie haven, with gluten free options too. We sampled pie there and took some to go. Just follow your nose to Henkel square market of Round Top, where I was also charmed by their local theatre, not the movie kind either. Royers has two locations, a cafe/sit down lunch place and the other is an all pie shop. Either way. It's pie. Go.
Round Top, I'll be back and next time I'll stay alot longer, you've won me over.
