23Ikat which literally means to "cut" or "bind" is a style of weaving that uses resist dyeing to create some fantastic patterns, if I do say so myself!! It's prevalent in Uzbekistan, South America, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Guatemala and has been all the rage in fashion/interior industry alike! Total Love.




The rug in that first room is just amazing!!! And I was just admiring that yellow ikat dress yesterday--now if only I had something to wear it too:)
